Why is my listing unsubscribed and how do I fix it?

When you try to send messages through GuestWay, you may encounter an issue where agents cannot send messages because a listing has been "unsubscribed." This prevents normal communication functionality and access to reservation data for that specific property.

Answer

A listing being "unsubscribed" means that GuestWay is no longer syncing that listing's data and reservation information from your Property Management System (PMS). This makes the listing inactive in GuestWay, which prevents agents from sending messages and viewing reservations for that property.

To fix this issue and restore messaging functionality:

  1. Navigate to the "Integrations" section in your GuestWay account

  2. Locate the unsubscribed listing

  3. Resubscribe the listing to reactivate data syncing

Once the listing is resubscribed, you'll be able to send messages and view reservation data for that property again. Note that listing subscription status also affects billing, so only active (subscribed) listings are included in your billing calculations.
